RYA Sailing Courses

Our RYA sailing courses are taught on our Reflex 38, based in Hamble, Hampshire. During your course you will sail all around the Solent, returning to Hamble at the end of your course. The Solent is a perfect learning ground, as it has complex tides and many creeks and harbours in which to practise navigation and, boat handling, as well as pleasant places to spend the night.

Our yachts are racer-cruisers, which means they are fast, responsive and really great fun to sail. To keep them light they are simple down below, with a mainly stripped-out open-plan interior. Unlike on many yachts, you will have your own berth rather than having to possibly share a double with a stranger. There is one double cabin available.

Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Theory

Take your theory to a more advanced level, and become confident in passage planning, secondary ports and meteorology. This course is important for those intending to take a Coastal Skipper or Yachtmaster exam.

This course is shore-based, and is run as a five day course or as three weekends. It is held in Hamble, Hampshire or can be arranged in London if there is sufficient demand. Accommodation is not provided.
